Ladies Flat Shoes!

I love these shoes. They are very very comfortable and dressy looking. I wore them as a bridesmaid (and many times since) in a black tie wedding and I felt that they were perfect for the occasion and it felt like I was wearing comfy slippers. All of my friends wearing stilettos were jealous.

The title pretty much says it all. I feel like I’m walking around in slippers. They’re great for work when you don’t feel like wearing impractical heals around the office all day but still want shoes with detail and character.

I really like these shoes. I’m wearing them right now, in fact. They took awhile to break in and they’re REALLY flat so you can actually feel the floor you’re walking on. I wouldn’t walk too far or long in these, but they are just fine for looking cute at your desk or out for the evening.

I bought these exact shoes a couple years ago and wore them nearly every day for two years. Comfortable as slippers! Unfortunately, wearing them without socks renders them disgustingly smelly. I decided to toss the rancid-smelling pair and buy fresh ones. This time, I bought some Dr. Scholl’s odor insoles so I can go sockless without the smelliness.

Anyway, I highly recommend these shoes. The knotted toe provides a hint of texture that’s more fun than your basic ballet flat.

I can’t believe how quickly my shoes arrived and with a nice personal touch. I couldn’t be more pleased with Villeroy. The shoes are adorable but they are too small which is the only reason I rated them a four star versus a five. I always wear a size 9 and my feet are fairly thin. I’m trying to decide if I should try to break them in or send them back for a larger size. Either way, I think they are a great purchase. I bought them in black and grey.

These shoes are really cute, and I wear them all the time. When I first started wearing them, though, they rubbed the backs of my heels a bit, so I had to wear bandaids underneath them. Now, I just wear nylon knee highs, and they’re fine. (Don’t wear these barefoot, or they will develop a bad smell that you can’t get rid of!)

I just wish they had more support…

I’ve been looking for a pair of classy grey/silver flats to sharpen a casual outfit (like jeans and a nice black top). Everything I saw was ugly or looked dull, if not in color in style. Last week I found these shoes on amazon and from the picture I could tell they’d be perfect in color and style, but the price and the varying comments on their true size made hesitate from buying them right then. I’m so glad I waited! Drive to DSW if you can and get them on sale for $35! And look in the clearance section first – I got mine for an additional 20% off! They had a whole row of them in a ton of different colors/fabrics/patterns. I got the “Frost Grey Thai Silk” (listed incorrectly here as “dark grey”) in 7.5 M US (my usual size). These shoes are a nice fancy shade of grey – the fabric has a hint of shimmer so the grey isn’t dull and it looks more like a metallic iridescent-like silver. These flats have little to no arch support – they’re good if you want to look good without the pain of heels. I own another pair of Rocket Dog shoes (the rock climbing style) and they walk exactly the same. But unless you plan on wearing a pair of shoes everyday (and you’re not supposed to wear the same pair of shoes everyday), or if you want “productive” shoes, you shouldn’t pass up buying a dress shoe with no arch support, just buy Foot & Arch Shoe Inserts. I plan on being kind to these flats so they last me a while I don’t want to be looking for “classy, silver, flats” again. I recommend taking a chance on these.

I love these shoes! They work for casual or dressy occasions and are cute without being overly flashy. The black is a really pleasant shade and they aren’t overly shiny. It’s true that they completely lack arch support but this really doesn’t bother me. Normally, the constricting factor in buying shoes for myself is foot width. Shoes will pinch the top of my foot behind my big toe and the bone on the top of my foot before the pinky toe bone. These shoes didn’t. If you have wide feet or just like a slightly looser shoe- buy these. You can always add Dr. Scholl’s inserts for support.

I wouldn’t wear them in the rain because they are made of silk and they are not for everyday wear, but they are very nice dress up flats. They go with everything! This is my second pair…I am replacing an exact same pair I already wore out!
